Organizational Learning and Knowledge as a Social Practice: a Dialectical Discourse- Based Framework

Both approaches are valuable but problematic, making assumptions that are questionable and being somewhat unreflexive in approach. A discourse-based framework is proposed for thinking about learning and knowledge in an organizational context. The framework takes a dialectical view and draws on a Critical Discourse Analysis approach, resulting in a framework that is more sensitive to the complexities of social practices such as learning, and is more reflexive, explicitly recognizing the assumptions that underpin the form of analysis.
